Campus Overview
Mangalam houses word class facilities for the greater benefit of students. All necessary amenities are maintained hygienically to provide a home like feel whilst giving the child a safer and dynamic environment. We take privilege in mentioning that we are always on the look out for new technology and unique to architecture that contribute to the reputation of the institution. We have over 65000 square feet of building facilities spread over serene 15 acres.
We embrace the fact that society plays a vital role in the shaping of children and their developed habits. The campus is maintained by a round the clock cleaning team, ensuring that promised standards are always delivered.
Hostel – Residence
Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Proper security measures have been taken to safe guard the stay of the students.The dormitories are comfortable with individual cots and mattresses, lockers, intercom and telephone facilities.
They are provided with separate linen rooms, attached toilets, urinals, wash – basins, and bathing facilities. Constant expansion and maintenance work is being carried out during holidays to provide better service to children. Constant supervision is carried out by government-accredited engineers to ensure that stability of the buildings and re assure the safety of the children.
There is 24 hours un-interrupted water supply in the campus. All requirements are met within the campus and hostellers are not permitted to leave the campus without the permission of the Principal or the Correspondent.
Food & Refectory
Priority is being given to the food catered on campus. Cooks are brought in different parts of the state to provide authentic state-wide cuisine. This avoids monotonous food menus. The menu is changed every month to avoid repetitive food diet that might result in lack of nutrition. No compromise is taken in the hygiene of food preparations and the refectory maintenance.A UV water purifying system has been installed at all hostel blocks for continuous clean water supply, eliminating germs. Students are encouraged to consume good quantity of water to stay hydrated for a better living. A well equipped bakery and a modern kitchen takes care of all our food requirements.
Canteen
The school canteen has a variety of snacks and soft drinks for sale. All snacks are pre-checked for expiry dates and the quality is tested before being sold to students. It also sells necessary stationary items that are to be paid for immediately and no credit is allowed.
Infirmary & Medical
A small infirmary has been established to look first aid requirements of children in case of any emergencies. The school houses a well qualified nurse looking into such issues all through the year. In addition to this, the local Doctor also visits the infirmary daily between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.Children who need further attention are regularly driven to the hospital for further check-up and subsequent treatments. In spite of these efforts, if the concerned child not recovering to our expectation or when the nature of the illness is serious, the school authorities will immediately contact the parent either by telephone, email or message.
Parents are permitted to take students home in case of serious illness. A medical letter is to be provided on returning from the treatment. If there are any prolonged delays due to the treatment parents are required to keep the management updated of such delays.
Technology – Smart Classes
We have associated our selves with Educomp Solutions and other leading futuristic educational vendors for establishing future ready classrooms. As of now we have three 5 established smart classrooms. Teachers are well trained to utilize smart classes optimally for the benefit of the teachers. A blend of conventional and contemporary education prevails in Mangalam to penetrate through a static system that has been around for many years now. Plans have proposed to expand the current facility to increase further access to students.
All students use these classrooms on a periodical basis to further augment their understanding of the taught content.
Library
The School library houses over 5000 books. Children exposed to good reading habits would gain knowledge over various fields, which in turn assures a comprehensive personality development. Reading sessions are available during lunch breaks and special periods that allow access to a well-stacked library in the campus. Our School Management Software briefs us time to time of the students’ borrowings in the library.
A future proposition has been laid for an all day open wireless Internet facility in the campus. This would ensure an open approach to education.
Laboratories
There are separate laboratories to fulfil various academic requirements and students quest for knowledge.
Sports & Recreation
Over 3 acres has been allocated for organized games and children’s play. Track and field events are conducted in one portion while the other are used for games such as foot ball, volley ball etc., Indoor games such as chess, caroms are available at the hostel for students who wish to indulge in some leisure games. Sports are an integral part of child’s’ growth. All work and no play definitely do a hamper child’s growth pattern. It’s vital for any child to grow holistically than to focus only on academics. Transportation
A fleet of School buses and vans meet the requirements for commuting day-scholar students, studying within a 50 KMs radius from the campus. All vans and buses are driven by experienced drivers along with trained helps to ensure the safety of the children. Bus routes are pre-defined and parents are expected to inform the admission office of the need for vehicle pickup during the time of admission.
Transportation is available for all classes, whilst we also organise bus passes for students coming from farther places that are not covered by the bus routes.
Security
The school premises are under constant surveillance using Close Circuit cameras (CCTV). We constantly monitor the campus for the safety of your child with an on campus trained security force. A full time security team ensures that all entrances and exits are constantly monitored for no intrusion.
SMS – Students are expected to flash their cards while entering and leaving the campus. An SMS is sent to the parents stating the arrival and exit, ensuring that the child is on the way home.
Fire safety
All buildings are checked for fire safety and employees trained to tackle fire in case of an emergency. Students are also trained to vacate the campus swiftly in case of any unforeseen incidents.
